The Peace Corps and the Presidents Malaria Initiative (PMI), led by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented together with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), announce a new partnership that will expand malaria prevention activities throughout Africa and provide Peace Corps volunteers with the best resources on malaria prevention. Peace Corps Director Aaron S. Williams, USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah, and U.S. Global Malaria Coordinator Rear Admiral Tim Ziemer announced the partnership during a World Malaria Day discussion at Peace Corps headquarters in Washington, D.C.
