The US President’s Malaria Initiative and Under-5 Child Mortality in Sub-Saharan Africa: A difference-in-differences analysis

This study evaluated the association between the introduction of PMI and child mortality rates in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), and found that PMI was associated with 16 percent annual risk reduction in child mortality and increased population coverage of key malaria prevention and treatment technologies.
