The Roll Back Malaria Partnership has initiated the process of developing the second generation Global Malaria Action Plan (GMAP2) for the period 2016-2030.

The GMAP2 will position malaria in the post-2015 agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals. It will be a multisectoral, action-oriented document designed to accelerate progress in further reducing the burden and eliminating malaria at regional, national and sub-national levels. GMAP2 will also be an important advocacy tool to mobilize resources and coordinate the inputs of the various Roll Back Malaria Partnership constituencies – which include governments, bilateral and multilateral agencies, foundations, research and academia, the private sector and civil society.

GMAP2 will showcase examples of working in partnership across sectors and borders, strengthening and integrating in health systems, keeping people at the center of the response, innovation and strengthening the evidence.
