Despite tremendous progress over the past 15 years, malaria continues to steal the lives of an astonishing number of children under five years old. In Africa, a child a minute on average dies from malaria, a disease that is both preventable and treatable. As Tanzania’s national malaria slogan reminds us, not a single death from malaria is acceptable: Malaria Haikubaliki!
