U.S. Global Malaria Coordinator Dr. Raj Panjabi sat down with White House correspondent Anita Powell to discuss the recently released 2021-2016 PMI strategy and the WHO recommendation of the RTS,S malaria vaccine.

Panjabi told Powell that working to end to malaria was because it is in the interest of the United States for other countries to succeed, in addition to being the right thing to do: 

“It’s the moral thing to do. We have the tools, the medicines, the tests. Now we have a vaccine that can help us save lives,” he said.
