A kit comprising 580,000 sets of the new malaria medicine “coartem” and estimated at USD 860,000 was granted Thursday by the U.S. Government to Angolan authorities through its Agency for International Development (USAID).

The donation is meant for the Malaria Fight Programme in Angola, and is part of US president’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) and includes “Coartem B6, B12, B18 and B24”.
